We Are Moving!
We are so excited to tell you that the Baja Animal
Sanctuary is moving! After many tense months with our landlord at our current location,
we have found a new home!
Although the original land donation, written
about in a previous newsletter, fell through, a wonderful new prospect arose.
Although we are all excited about our new home, we are also concerned.
Funds are urgently needed to prepare the site so that we can move
our furry residents to their new home!
We need your help to raise $90,400.00!
We can do it! The following expense breakdown will help you understand
exactly where these funds will be going:
- Three Used Mobile Homes: 1 double-wide, designed
to be small educational room/office, which would house our cattery, clinic,
employee bathroom, employee kitchen, laundry facility, and ICU for sick
animals - $18,000.00
-
1 single-wide, for BAS office, meeting area, small kitchen/bath and storage
- $7,000.00
- 1 mini single-wide for night crew, with small kitchen, bath, and storage
- $4,000.00
- Cement Block Wall - Labor/Materials - $35,000.00
- Plumbing/Electrical Lines & Drainage (Electrical post/meter already
installed) - $4,000.00
- Septic Tank(s) - $ 6,000.00
- Chain Link Fencing/Gates, cement block to divide corrals, cement, gravel,
sand - $10,000.00
- Rental of Bulldozer/Other Equipment - $1,500.00
- Pila (holding tank for water) Labor & Material - $2,400.00
- Water pump (to bring water from natural spring into our holding tank)
- $2,500.00

from concerned animal lovers.
We
all have to buy groceries, right?
Well, why not buy your
groceries and help the residents at BAS at the same
time!
